Learn how to incorporate a variety of media into your ceramics practice. Using found objects, metal and clay, students explore ways to communicate ideas and concepts through the mixing of materials. The course explores ways to integrate materials into traditional ways of making pottery, such as coil, slab, and extrusion, wheel throwing and post-fired applications. Students should have a basic knowledge of hand building techniques and an open mind. Supply list: Basic pottery tools, mixed media, sketchbook, a camera.
